Steve Smith and Pat Cummins are now at the top of the ICC Test Rankings after helping Australia retain the Ashes with a 4th test win for the series.

Smith’s match winning 293 runs in two innings helped him beat Indian Captain Virat Kohli by 34 points in in the International Cricket Council (ICC) test batsman rankings.

Cummins, on the other hand, achieves the top position in the bowlers’ rankings with 63 points, after a match haul of seven for 103 in the Manchester test.

England’s Jos Butler and Rory Burns improved their rankings, and are now at 37th and 61st position respectively.

Afghanistan’s Asghar Afghan and Rahmat Shah also moved up in the ICC test batsman list after a 224-run win over Bangladesh in Chattogram.
