Digital influencers: distorting the culture of consent?

Last month, Insider published an article which details a young woman’s sexual assault allegation against a former member of David Dobrik’s social media group, The Vlog Squad.
Many were shocked to hear about the college student’s allegations with Dobrik losing hundreds of YouTuber subscribers, and at least 13 brands terminating sponsorship deals with him.
But Dobrik hasn’t been the only influencer involved in misconduct in recent weeks, as Ashleigh Matosevic reports.
