Hawthorn
Electorate: Hawthorn
Held by: John Pesutto (Liberal Party, 2014)
Swing +/- to MP 2014:
Margin: 8.59

Key Comments:

Hawthorn is an inner Melbourne electorate, once the seat of former Victorian premiers Sir William Murray McPherson (1916 to 1930) and Ted Baillieu (1999 to 2014). It's a safe “blue ribbon” Liberal seat, known for Glenferrie Road's shopping strip, the Camberwell Sunday Market and Swinburne University of Technology. The seat is currently held by Shadow Attorney General John Pesutto from the Liberal Party. Residential planning and development will be one of the key issues in this electorate.
