Battle for Lindsay in Western Sydney

A little-known battle is underway for the highly marginal Western Sydney seat of Lindsay.

With electorate polling putting Labor and the Liberals at 51-49 respectively, the 3% margin of error means Lindsay is anything but a sealed deal for either party.

Additionally, both parties are battling community fallout. Labor’s outgoing MP for Lindsay, Emma Husar, has been dogged by allegations of misconduct and sexual harassment of staff, while last year’s Liberal leadership chaos saw national support for the Government plunge.

With enough scandal to go around, the feeling on the street is that voters are looking for policy and not more drama.
