“Not just about grandma”: Victoria to keep most restrictions
Some restrictions implemented to control the spread of coronavirus could be eased, if Victorians keep following the rules and new cases remain low.
But Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews says other restrictions implemented in March will need to remain.
These include keeping cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs closed.
With just one new confirmed case of COVID-19 on Tuesday 21 April, Mr Andrews says the measures implemented have worked to slow the virus’ spread.
He said the possible easing of restrictions in Victoria could include allowing more sporting activities and a possible small increase in the size of social gatherings.
