Snap protest held in Melbourne against transphobic website
Students at the University of Melbourne have held a Trans Pride Rally in response to a website created by Holly Lawford-Smith, an associate professor in philosophy at the university.
Called “No Conflict They Said”, the website’s goal was to allow cisgender women to anonymously post grievances about having trans women in so-called “women only spaces”.
Rally organiser and University of Melbourne Queer Officer Amy Bright spoke about the rally to Nik Jamieson.
