All tiers of football dealing with racism: juniors coach
Racism in sport is an ongoing issue that not only affects the sporting world, but society as a whole.
Most recently, young Adelaide United striker Kusini Yengi was subjected to social media abuse, following his maiden A-leage goal in his club’s win against Melbourne Victory in March 2020.
At the time, Adelaide United’s director of football Bruce Dijte called for a cross-code ban on fans who subject players to racist abuse.
