Urban planner predicts post-pandemic focus on satellite cities

As Australia begins to return to some sort of normalcy in the wake of COVID-19, many are wondering exactly what ‘normal’ will look like.

For city dwellers, the “normal” of living one on top of one other, over-crowded public transport, peak hour standstills and bustling urban centres may be a thing of the past.

I caught up with the Director of the City Futures Research Centre, Professor of Urban Science Chris Pettit from the University of New South Wales, to get his insights into a post-pandemic city.
