Soccer’s active fan bases adjusting to COVID-normal life
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, sports venues around Victoria restricted soccer’s active fan bases from supporting clubs to their full capacity.
Now, with the A-League and other live sports coming back, a sense of normality has returned to the state’s stadiums.
But newly appointed Western United Service Crew backup drummer Anton Cananzi says it’s been hard to support his team at AAMI Park in particular.
He talks about the difficulties faced by the club’s official active fan base, to La Trobe Sports Journalism student Marcus Bazzano.
