Industry, patients express concerns with tele-health rush

While Melbourne’s restrictions have been lifted after each lockdown, the presence and impact that coronavirus has had on our city is still severe.

More than one year on things are still not the same – especially in the area of healthcare.

The most significant change has been in the seeking of medical treatments, with an emphasis now on tele-health and distant check-ups in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The Federal Government says it’ll pump $AU114 million to extend tele-health until the end of 2021, but the healthcare industry in Victoria has expressed concern over the rush to adopt virtual medical care.
