Women gamers increase in number, but discrimination still exists
Playing video games was once thought to be a men’s only activity, but these days women make up about 45% of gamers worldwide.
In May a tech industry survey found 77% of women gamers experienced gender discrimination when playing, including verbal harassment and unwanted sexual messages.
Naeve Parsons is a video game retail worker by day and gamer by night.
