As Victoria recorded under 20 thousand new COVID-19 cases today (less than half of last week’s figures) the federal government looks set to approve Novavax’s vaccine – giving Australians four different choices for the jab.
In Melbourne, vaccination targets were reached after widespread mandates and lengthy periods of lockdown.
While the overwhelming majority of adult Victorians have been vaccinated, what could the Andrews government and the media have done better to reach out to those who were hesitant about the jab?
Education expert Dr Marg Rogers says emotive storytelling may be a better way of persuading these Victorians, as she explained to James Bogojevski.
