Sporting participation hit by cost of living
New research by the Victorian Amateur Football Association has found the aftermath of COVID-19 is likely to see long-term losses among local amateur football clubs, with one club president pointing out that because the pandemic hit people in the hip pocket, they’re more likely to want to work on Saturdays instead of playing.
