Arts enrolments unaffected by price hikes
Data from the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre shows students are still opting for arts and humanities degrees – and fewer students are enrolling in fields the previous Coalition federal government deemed more important for jobs and the economy.
Under the “Job Ready Graduates” changes, the cost of teaching, nursing, mathematics, and languages degrees were lowered in a bid to attract more students while the Victorian Government is pushing more and more students to nursing.
But will the government’s plan work out?
