Hope grows for deal to free Brittney Griner
As the US women’s basketball team begins its defence of its FIBA World Cup title in Sydney, hopes are growing that a prisoner swap involving Russia’s ‘Merchant of Death’ might secure the release of star center Brittney Griner.
Griner was detained in February after authorities said they found vape cartridges in her luggage which contained cannabis oil concentrate.
