Living beside trash mountain
Bantar Gebang is where most of the waste from Jakarta ends up. Located in Bekasi, West Java, just one hour away from the glitzy capital, and being a literal mountain of trash, its effects on the local inhabitants are catastrophic: from polluted drinking water to the smell along with its detrimental effects on human health. Here the witnesses to the environmental disaster speak up and share their grievances.
