Top journalists now on podcasts

You can now listen to interviews with Australia’s top investigative journalists as they discuss how they found their stories and the challenges they faced in getting them up.

Democracy’s Watchdogs has converted its video interviews into podcasts so that you can listen to them on the go. You can find interviews with 10 of the journalists on this site. That list will grow as we interview more journalists.

You can still watch the video versions and find background information on each of the journalists here. In case you have not heard of Democracy’s Watchdogs, it is a non-profit organisation that features interviews with the nation’s leading and past investigative journalists. They include Adele Ferguson, Nick McKenzie, Michael West, Gerard Ryle, Chris Masters and others.

Coming soon is an interview with the Herald Sun journalists who broke the Lawyer X scandal. That story is still having ramifications on Victoria’s judicial system as some of the state’s most notorious prisoners seek to have their convictions quashed.

Democracy’s Watchdogs will again run its student award for investigative journalism. There are two prizes of $1000 each plus trophies and certificates. I’ll send an alert when entries open later this year. Please click on my name below if you have any questions about the award.

Cheers,
