Last July, the Australian Government introduced “world-leading” bans on the sale of vapes. But in the months since the restrictions came into place, they appear to have had a limited impact. While vape users question the effectiveness of the laws, experts cautiously welcome early signs of an impact. Ricky Sproule and Alipriya Biswas report.
Despite bans, vapes still easy to buy in Melbourne
“They are super easy to obtain … probably every fifth shop you can obtain a vape – whether its a smoke shop, a candy store, a milk bar, you can get them anywhere,” says one vape user.
