Frankston – Labor: Paul Edbrooke
Paul Edbrooke is the incumbent Labor member for the seat of Frankston. He began his career as a primary school teacher before choosing instead to become a career firefighter, where he was posted to work in Frankston.
Is proud of:
- His successful lobbying for a $63 million redevelopment of the Young St Transit precinct. What does a redevelopment involve? For starters: a revamp of Frankston train station; a new bus interchange featuring improved seating, footpaths and new trees and traffic signals; and a new roundabout at the intersection of Fletcher Rd Extension and Dandenong Rd West.
… and possibly not so proud of:
- Referencing WWII Nazi Hermann Goering when tweeting about the Liberal federal government and State Opposition in January 2018. Edbrooke captioned the tweet “just sayin’”, above a picture and quote from the Nazi leader which read “The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders… tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger”.
