In 2018 six Victorian universities worked together to cover the Victorian state election. Students at LaTrobe, Melbourne, RMIT, Monash, Deakin and Swinburne Universities investigated candidates and issues in many of the most interesting electorates in the lead up to the poll on 24 November 2018.

This was the third time university journalism programs cooperated to cover an election. The first was in 2014 for the Victorian state election and the second in 2016 for the Australian federal election.
